Starring Alan Hughes, as Sammy Sausages, Rob Murphy (as Buffy), Johnny Ward, Conor Clear and Una Healy, of The Saturdays popgroup fame, as the Fairy Queen.
Alan is the longest serving professional panto star in Ireland and Karl is the longest serving writer. Their pantos are beloved by audiences, who return year on year, as their productions hit the incredible milestone of 25 years.
This year’s panto promises to be their biggest and most hilarious panto ever and is selling out fast. Una Healy says she's particularly delighted to be in the 25th anniversary show as to get to 25 you have to be bloomin good. Karl adds to this by saying, "We had to beat expectations every year and we did; and our amazing audiences responded by returning year on year bringing more family members and friends...that’s how we grew; how can you beat word of mouth. In this day and age and with the cost of living crisis it must be awful to spend your hard earned money on something and the kids not be into it. So when you’ve one family telling another they absolutely have to go to our panto, they will love it; it’s the best form of advertising...we owe our fans a lot. It's great to be a family tradition and a part of people's Christmas. The atmosphere is always amazing".
Tickets for Sammy, Buffy & the Beanstalk is on sale now at www.panto.ie
The show is a sell-out every year with over 40 thousand fans attending and there's great anticipation for the 25th anniversary.
The new home of panto, The National Stadium will be transformed into pantoland, with an all-star cast, ensuring a panto family experience to remember.
Former TV3 presenter Conor Clear plays Jack and Meghan Maher is Jill. Una Healy’s role has already been filmed and we can say it's quite spectacular. This sparkling production will be choreographed once again by Paul Ryder and directed by Simon Delaney
